Unique to the Sunskills event on the Sunshine Coast, Sunskills Industry Tours 2011 offers a range of comprehensive, interactive guided tours through the Sunshine Coast TAFE Mooloolaba and Nambour campuses giving you the opportunity to view state of the art training facilities and get all the information on your choice of career paths.
Departing every 30 minutes, the guided tours are one hour in duration and cover the following areas:
- Mooloolaba program
Pink tour – Beauty, Fashion and Retail
- Showcasing: fashion design, nail technology, beauty, make up and retail processes.
Orange tour – Hospitality and Tourism
- Showcasing: commercial cookery, bistro operation, service of drinks, tourism and event management.
White tour – Business, Media and IT
- Showcasing: business, security, digital media industries and IT CPU.
Mooloolaba Tour Program – 9am, 9.30am, 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12am, 12.30pm, 1pm.
Nambour program
Black tour – Construction
- Showcasing: carpentry, tiling, plumbing and painting.
Lime tour – Applied Sciences
- Showcasing: aquaculture, lab operations, land management, environment and horticulture.
Blue tour – Community Services
- Showcasing: community welfare and children's services.
Green tour – Creative Industries
- Showcasing: music, art, graphic design and photography.
Maroon tour – Design
- Showcasing: computer aided drafting, interior design, building design.
No tour bookings necessary, just turn up and queue for the tour of your choice however schools must still register bus arrival times. A maximum of 25 students per tour. All students must have closed in shoes.
